Table of Contents to Jewetts of America Volumes 3 and 4

Introduction

Volumes 1 and 2 of Jewetts of America are online and in most genealogical libraries (OpenLibrary).

Volumes 3 and 4 are out of print and scarse, but Jewetts of America association has some new-old-stock available.

The 1998 Additions and Corrections to Vol 3 & 4 pamplet is available online (and included in most new-old-stock offerings).

Later additions and corrections are in the Newsletters or Quarterly publications of JoA.

What vol 3 and 4 lack is an table of contents navigable for following descents from vol 1 and 2. (The index at the back of volume 4 lets one find new descendants to work up from.)

So this is my Table of Contents of which vol 1 & 2 descendant each vol 3 & 4 cluster extends, with page number, created by paging through both volumes.

This Table of Contents will not tell you if a specific name is in the expansion volumes; it only tells if a specific previously published descendant of Edward^1 Jewett (or prior un-attached cluster) has a new cluster of descent in the new volumes. To check if a Jewett or allied family not previously connected is in vols 3 & 4, one needs must check the index at the back of vol 4 – or to connect them to a volume 1 or 2 person and check if that person’s number appears below.

From this Table of Contents, i can tell that my lines from Vol 1 and 2 persons are not covered, but several of their siblings (thus uncles/aunts) are.
